A darkly comic look at the exploits of a well-known animated sailor, This riotous production presents cartoonviolence with the broken noses, flying teeth, and gushing blood of real life. Sailor Man mines vintage pop culture for its hidden anger and tragedy, offering up a hilarious critique on violence in entertainment and society.

Sailor Man premeiered at The New York International Fringe Festival in August 2008. The production received rave reviews from TimeOut NY, NYTheatre.com, Off Off Online, and HyReviews.com. The positive reception of an industry performance in October 2008 led to the announcement of an Off-Broadway engagement. Previews begin January 29th, 2009 at 10:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the 45 Bleecker St. Box Office (Just east of Lafayette on Bleecker St).
